BLACKSOULS II is significantly bigger than the first BS game and it has a lot of endings that have certain conditions you have to fulfill which may be complicated. In this post, you can find everything about those endings along with how to get them.
Some endings are grouped because they don’t differ too much from one another, and the DLC3 ending is placed last on this list.
BLACKSOULS II has 8 endings in the game.
Endings A, C, D, E
After reaching 10 Progression Points in the game you will see that Node is not sitting at the table anymore but rather she’s at the door that’s on the northern part of the Library Dream area. She will be there, saying how she saw a cat carrying a blonde girl through that door, and how that girl is probably Alice.
If you listen to Node and go through the door you will enter a weird space that leads to a door. Once you go through the door you will be in something that looks like a little girl’s room and you may see the Cheshire Cat there if your SEN isn’t low.
When you go through the fog you will see the Alice you chose but then a demonbeast will stop you from reaching her – you will get into a fight with the Tearing Beast, Dinah, i.e. the Cheshire Cat.
Ending A will happen if you defeat Dinah, talk to Alice, and then make love to her. This will end with an NSFW scene with Alice of your choosing, and then when you embrace Alice you will realize you don’t know where she is – the game ends with “Where is Alice?”.
Ending C will happen if you lose to Dinah – she will proceed to go and kill your Alice in front of you, and that’s how the game ends.
Ending D will happen if you defeat Dinah, talk to Alice, and instead of making love to her you choose to kill her. If you don’t have 0 SEN then you will instantly kill the Alice of your choosing and the game will end with you questioning whether this is a dream or reality, ending the game with “Where is Alice?”.
Ending E will happen if you Defeat Dinah, talk to Alice, and then decide to kill her. If you have 0 SEN you won’t be able to instantly kill your Alice.
Alice will get really mad that you want to kill her and then you will have to fight the Alice of your choosing in her nightmare form, and those fights can be quite difficult. If you lose the fight it will be just game over, and if you win it you will get the Ending E.
Ending B
Ending B is an ending where you abandon Alice. To get it you need to achieve max-level covenants with Node, Bill, Dodo, Shisha, Duchess, Hatter, Mocky, Wolris, Tweedletwins. And once you do that you must make love to Node.
Node will ask you if something is bothering you, and if you say you’re tired you will be able to get to choose the dialogue option to abandon Alice.
If you choose to abandon Alice, Node will understand and then she will tell you that she has to show you something. Node will say how your “daughters” are waiting – you will be transported to an area similar to the Library Dream (it’s a nightmare version of it), and there will be a lot of weird monster eggs around you and Node.
The eggs will then start hatching, and your “daughters” will be born. Here you will be able to see most of the important entities you encounter during your adventure through Wonderland. Node will end the game by saying “…And a happy breeding season will soon begin once again”.
This ending implies that most of the entities you encounter during the cycles are your offspring.
Endings F and G
Endings F and G are more difficult to get, and you will have to fulfill certain conditions before you’re able to initiate it. And you will also have to beat the game at least once to be able to do it.
The conditions for Endings F and G are:
- Red Hood’s Mark – Meet her 10 times and make love to her.
- Leaf’s Ring – Find Leaf in Queensland, and equip the ring she gives you.
- Lewis Carroll’s Memories – Collect all of Lewis Carroll’s memories.
If you’re not sure how to fulfill conditions then check out the linked posts because there is everything there described in more detail. But when you do all of that you will be able to initiate the completion of either Ending F or Ending G.
When you finish the game for the first time you have a big crystal in the upper left part of the Library Dream which you can use to instantly transition to the next cycle.
You should transition into the next cycle, but when you’re given the option to choose an Alice, reject all the options given to you by clicking “X”, or whatever button you use for backing out of things in the game.
You will be given only one option then – “Alice Liddell”, and when you choose that you will see an Alice next to you, and she won’t be too happy that you noticed the other Alices aren’t real.
After that, you will find yourself in the Little Girl’s Nightmare area, where you can see the demonbeast variations of the majority of the entities in the game – which are their true identities, and you will also be able to hear their honest opinions and how they feel in regards to everything.
You can avoid most of the fights, and by proceeding further into this area you will eventually reach Node, who you can also try to kill but that’s optional. You can have a cute interaction with her that’ll end with a kiss from her.
There’s another optional fight that will activate only if you find Meryphillia and beat her in a fight once. Going even further will bring you to Jubjub, Bandersnatch, and Jabberwock who are still in their Wonderland forms. They will corner you and you will have to fight all 3 of them at the same time, but then Miranda suddenly appears and attacks Jubjub from behind.
They will be confused but Jabberwock will react immediately and teleport behind Miranda to kill her, but then Hein will appear and protect her from Jabberwock’s fatal blow. This will then initiate what seems to be a final fight between all of you.
Bandersnatch and Jubjub will give up on fighting further after successfully finishing the fight and this will anger Jabberwock. Jabberwock will eliminate both of them, and she will enter into a manic rage.
A fight will start and she will take the form of Jabberwock, the Abominable Evil, where she will reveal her obsession with wanting to be a Creator and not a just Great One. Jabberwock will disappear after the fight ends, and you will part ways with Miranda and Hein.
Going further into the area will lead you to Red Hood, and the conversation between you two will be instantly interrupted by Leaf. Both of them will start arguing and Leaf will thank you because you kept her ring – it got her out of jail and let her escape.
After a bit more dialogue you will be given an option to choose between Red Hood and Mary Ann (i.e. Leaf).
Choosing Red Hood will initiate the completion of Ending G, and choosing Mary Ann will initiate the completion of Ending F.
Choosing Mary Ann will initiate a fight with Red Hood.
Red Hood will tell you you’re stupid and Mary Ann will aid you in the fight.
After defeating Red Hood, Mary will be happy to tell you more about the Crawling One and what she knows about him. Going further into the area will lead you to the Crawling One and then you will get into a fight with the Little Girl Alice.
Defeating her will make Leaf very happy and she will be also very happy to start making stories with you for all eternity.
This will cut to a scene in the future where Grimm and Leaf are making love. Leaf will complain about how you two have been having sex non-stop every day for 4 years straight, and then you will see Grimm choking Leaf during intercourse with the giant version of the Crawling One watching you both as if you were just puppets playing out a play.
Choosing Red Hood will initiate a fight with Mary Ann, who isn’t an opponent you can defeat easily, but Red Hood will be by your side in the fight.
After finishing the fight Leaf will reveal how Grimm and Red Hood will never have a happy ending because Leaf made sure that Red Hood can’t live past 20 years old, which means she even won’t last a year once she escapes with Grimm. Leaf will also reveal how she made sure every heroine that gets close to you reaches a tragic fate.
This will anger Grimm who will instantly punch Leaf in the face and that will smash her into a wall, which will presumably kill her.
Talking to Red Hood will make her confess that she already knew about all this, and she will also talk about her feelings towards Grimm. Saying how she wasn’t created by a “mad god” nor by a “mother”, but rather by only you, i.e. Grimm. Red Hood will say all this while embracing your hands.
Going further will lead to Alice with who Grimm will make love. You will try to kill Alice, and then she will get mad and try to kill you as well, but Red Hood will intervene and cut her head off, but this won’t kill Alice, i.e. the Crawing One.
Alice will attack Red Hood but then she will call for Poro to help her, and quickly enough you will get into a fight with the Crawling Little Girls. You will have Red Hood and Poro by your side, and once the fight is over the world will start collapsing.
You three will start running away but will get separated by a giant falling object on the way. The three Alices will appear behind Red Hood and Poro and you will let them fight, and eventually reach Alice, again.
Alice will be crying for help, specifically for “Mister Carroll”, her “teacher”. And then Lewis Carroll will come out of Grimm and go towards Alice, soothe her, and then both of them will leave.
You will be transported to another world, a world that looks normal to be specific, and once you get out of bed and leave the house, you will see Red Hood on the street, with a smile on her face and one arm missing.
Ending H
(The letter in Ending H stands for “Heartbroken” and “Hell”)
Having Prickett’s Ring in your inventory will give you the Heartbroken ending, which happens shortly after the events of the Hell ending. The Heartbroken ending is an expanded version of the Hell ending that fully concludes the game.
Ending H is exclusive to the DLC3 part of the game and it can be initiated once you reach the Throne area inside Winterbell. You will encounter Mabel who will be by a large flight of stairs waiting for you to decide on whether you’re ready to face Grand Guignol or not.
While going down the stairs you can enjoy a short conversation with Mabel.
Once you come down there will be a small room with a “Liddell’s doll” in the middle of it, and when you go further a row of metal bars will suddenly appear, separating you from Mabel. She will say how she tricked you and she’s basically offering you as a sacrifice to the Grand Guignol.
You can try to break the bars, but they’re unbreakable. Mabel will say that this is an execution site built just for her and that this is where her life ends. The walls will start getting closer to one another to totally crush Mabel and if you continue smashing them Mabel will be very confused, thinking that you want to kill her, but then she will see the sad look on your face.
Mabel will be touched by your determination to save her (if you don’t just go to another room and let her die alone), and then she will say how she understood for the first time how it feels to feel emotions, all thanks to you. It’s believed Outer Ones can’t feel emotions at all, she will even tell you how she never felt the effect of all the alcohol she drank. But she describes the thing she’s feeling now as a “hot feeling filling my chest now”.
This will lead to Mabel telling you to close your eyes, and then the walls will crush her.
You can only go further and this is where the Prince of Hell invades you. You can avoid this fight if you’re quick enough. If you win, he will realize that you’re not his child, i.e. Grand Guignol and this will drive him mad but soon enough he will get erased, presumably by Grand Guignol.
Going further will lead you to some kind of a stage, where Grand Guignol will be in the form of a doll. When you come closer to her and interact with it you will be able to either resist her or offer her your soul.
Offering your soul to the Grand Guignol will lead to a game over, but before that, you will see a scene where you, i.e. Grimm, wake up in a rather nightmarish setting with pregnant Node next to you. She will say how you awakened as a “Creator”, and how the Crawling One is waging a never-ending assault on Wonderland. Node will tell you to use her as a “seedbed”, and this is where you get the game over screen.
If you resist Grand Guignol you will get into a long and very hard fight, if not the hardest one in the game. After you’re done fighting Grand Guignol, Node will appear, saying how she’s terrified now that the “ever-turning gears have stopped”, adding how she wants your love even though she knows you two can never be together.
Node will say how she loves you, and then she will send you through a door that suddenly appears on the stage. The Crawling One will instantly appear and Dinah, i.e. the Cheshire Cat, will come to defend Node.
You will be forced to go through more nightmarish areas and you will be there ambushed by the three Alices. Little Sister Alice will protect you from the other two Alices, as this is her last chance to destroy this garden. She will tell you to leave her, and if you object she will start swearing at you.
Behind Little Sister Alice you will see Jubjub, behind Mother Alice you will see Jabberwock, and behind Daughter Alice you will see Bandersnatch, as they’re the entities taking the form of these Alices.
You will eventually reach a dead end and will be forced to fall from a high platform, but before you do Red Hood will grab your hand and save you from falling. A lot of faceless Alices will be pulling you down but Grimm will let himself fall to save Red Hood from a tragic fate.
You will be surrounded by endless Alices in some kind of abyss, and there will be nothing else besides Alice. The description of this whole ordeal is gruesome and it’s also very painful for Grimm – he starts having an existential crisis until another Alice comes behind him and embraces him carefully.
This Alice is a rogue part of the Crawling One who wants to save Grimm. In the game, you encounter her in the form of Prickett. She, Mabel, and Node are the ones responsible for storing away Mary Sue’s power in the Grand Guignol.
Alice will lead you by the hand into a white space and save you. She will say how she can’t be with you anymore, and that you should totally forget her. Grimm will vow how he will one day come back to save her, ending the game with “And we’ll reunite as lovers once more”.
After that, you will see Mary passing by, and it will cut to a scene where you will see Red Hood’s final moments, i.e. her death. She will die in bed with Grimm by her side, in a normal world. Mary tampered with her lifespan so that she can’t live past 20 years old – and then everything will fade to grey.
