Caterpillar Shisha is a character in BLACKSOULS 2 that you can form a covenant with, she can be found in Caterpillar’s Spot which you have to get to by going through an array of maze-like passages in the Spore Forest.
She’s based on the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland books, by Lewis Carroll, just like a lot of other characters in the game.

Shisha is a character that appears for the first time in the second BLACKSOULS game.
Getting to Shisha
Getting to Shisha can be tricky because when you’re at the part of the Spore Forest that leads to her, you will notice there’s a maze-like part of the area in which you can get easily lost because you have to find the correct exit, otherwise it’ll keep repeating itself.
The correct path to reaching her place, i.e. Caterpillar’s Spot, is to go left, down, right, and then up. Those paths are the correct order to reaching her – if you form a covenant with her you’ll be able to instantly come to her area.
Meeting Shisha
When you approach Shisha, you will notice her resting on a mushroom smoking her hookah, drugged out of her mind not caring about anything.
When you talk to her for the first time she won’t be interested in having a conversation with you and therefore will continue to completely ignore you, until you decide to leave, then she will call you to come back.
She doesn’t know who Alice is but will redirect you to the Duchess which you can get to by defeating Old Knight William first in the Spore Forest.
Friendship with Dodo
Shisha is friends with Dodo, but Dodo knows how to annoy her well. If you’re in a covenant with Shisha and have met Dodo as well, she will ask you if you met “Walghvoghel” – which is the original Dutch name for the dodo bird.
Shisha will tell you to tell Dodo that she should stop pestering Shisha for her knowledge, continuing with how she always forgets and misremembers stuff when she teaches her.
Dodo will be happy to know Grimm met Shisha, and eventually, she will want to celebrate the “pairing anniversary”. This will happen if you completely level up both of their covenants.
When you back to the Caterpillar’s Spot you will see Dodo and Shisha. Dodo will boast about how you’re her “best pupil and most beloved pair”, while Shisha will be surprised you’re with her, and her jealousy will keep rising as Dodo continues to boast.
This will eventually lead to them arguing over you and you will have the choice to choose who you love. Shisha will tempt you with provocative gestures, and if you choose her Dodo will get really mad.
Covenant
Shisha is one of the characters you can form a covenant with. Her covenant is focused on increasing your defense, along with adding Guard Effectiveness Up.
On the first level of your covenant, you will have the option to kiss Shisha, but she will reject the offer. You will be able to kiss Shisha on the second level of her covenant, even though she’ll protest a little bit.
You can smoke with Shisha, and that’s something you will unlock on the first level of the covenant – each smoke will increase your level, but it only works 5 times.
However, if you smoke with Shisha 5 times she will turn into a demonbeast later if you fully level up her covenant. She will warn you saying how she’s tired, and how her life span is coming to an end. According to her, she lasted 21 million years.
Shisha will tell then you to leave her, but if you don’t do that she’ll ask you to kill her instead. The next time you come to the Caterpillar’s Spot she will be a demonbeast.
Fighting Caterpillar Shisha
You can attack Shisha right away if you have 0 SEN, but she can also switch to her demonbeast form after fully leveling up her covenant if you smoke with her 5 times.
Shisha is a strong enemy and she has a second phase, where she turns from Caterpillar Shisha into Imago Shisha.
Personality
Shisha has a very laid-back and relaxed personality, as she’s always consuming a hookah and relaxing herself by laying on that mushroom. She doesn’t care about things around her and it’s quite understandable, I’d do that if I could as well.
She’s cute though, and it’s refreshing to see a character in the game who isn’t too eccentric.
Design
Shisha is a monster girl with half of her body being human, and the other part resembling a giant caterpillar. She has human arms and legs as well as caterpillar legs. Her caterpillar part is cyan, while her human body is white.
Her hair isn’t too long, it has some kind of yellowish-green color and it fits her overall color palette, and her dark green eyes.
She always has a relaxed, emotionless look on her face which is attractive.
