Lizard Bill is a character in BLACKSOULS 2. He’s a humanoid lizard and the main worshipper of the Serpent God. Bill and the Serpent God make a cute pair of effeminate boys. He is based on Bill the Lizard from Lewis Carroll’s book – “Alice in Wonderland”.

Bill is somewhere inside the Ripon Grand Cathedral, but you can’t find him right away.
Getting to Bill
You won’t be able to get to Bill right away because the entrance to his altar will be closed, and you will have to open it first. To do that, you have to go to the basement area of the Ripon Grand Cathedral and then go past the skeletons and the Hydra enemy roaming around.
They can easily kill you at the beginning of the game, so it’s just best to avoid them by going invisible or being very quick. Once you get to the end of the area, pull the lever, and the giant door in the main hall will open – that’s where you’ll find Bill.
Meeting Bill
When you first come into the Serpent God’s Altar area, Bill will most likely be on the ladders trying to reach something. You can come up to him, and he will nonchalantly ask you if you could hold the ladder for just a moment.
You will then be given the choice to keep the ladder steady, kick away the ladder, or ignore him.
If you keep the ladder steady, Bill will thank you while doing his thing on the ladders, you will then be given the option to either just hold the ladder or peek under his skirt. Peeking under Bill’s skirt will reveal the beautiful view of his ass.
Bill will then be done with his thing, and he will thank you very much for helping him out. You two will then introduce yourselves, and he will ask if this is your first time at Ripon Grand Cathedral because he would be happy to teach you all about it.
If you kick Bill’s ladder, he will scream and fall from the ladder, asking you what you were doing. You will then get the option to either kill him or deceive him.
If you choose to deceive him, you will basically tell him that your foot slipped and hit the ladder by accident. Bill will tell you to be careful, asking if you’ve been injured, he will give you a Blood Stanch.
You two will then introduce yourselves, and he will ask if this is your first time at Ripon Grand Cathedral because he would be happy to teach you all about it.
Ignoring Bill will leave him confused because he will be sure that someone was behind him.
Talking to Bill
After the whole ordeal with the ladders is done, Bill will be at the altar, and you can talk to him there.
Bill will tell you that he shares the teachings of the Serpent God at this temple, and he will declare that he’s the “shrine maiden” there. Bill says that the Serpent God is much more benevolent than other gods and that those who believe are repaid generously.
Bill will ask if you would like to enter his faith too.
Bill says that the Wonderland is torn by constant strife and that it’s a turbulent age. So it would be for the best to find beliefs that will support you. He knows that it must be troubling to be asked about it so suddenly, so he’d like to discuss it with you more once you’ve sorted out your feelings.
More Talking and Gate Pass
If you talk to Bill again, he will wish you a good evening and ask if you perhaps have had a change of heart.
You will then be able to tell Bill that you’re going to Alice, and he will think for a bit but will shyly say that he doesn’t know about her.
But, after thinking for a little bit more, Bill will say that the Queen of Hearts might know something. He will explain that the Queen of Hearts is the lady governing this country, so you might be able to meet her if you head to Red Castle Frissel.
Bill says that the Queen of Hearts is an awfully unreasonable and terrifying lady. Taken back by the fact that you still want to go, he will say that he understands, and then Bill will give you a Gate Pass, which will allow you to pass through the Gate Soldiers.
Passing through Gate Soldiers can be done with fighting, but this is a more gentle way of doing it. They keep you from reaching the Garden of the Heart that leads to the Queen of Hearts’ castle.
Bill says that the Gate Soldiers should let you through if you show them the Gate Pass. But, he also says that they “aren’t right in the head”, so he can’t guarantee anything. Before ending the conversation, Bill will tell you to think more about entering the faith, if possible.
Covenant and Its Events
Bill is one of the characters you can get in a covenant with.
- Level 0 – Cost: Free. Abilities: MP+10% / MP Costs*1/2. Options: Buy Sorcery Tomes.
- Level 1 – Cost: 3000. Abilities: MP+20% / MP Costs*1/2. Options: Buy Sorcery Tomes, Kiss.
- Level 2 – Cost: 7000. Abilities: MP+30% / MP Costs*1/2. Options: Buy Sorcery Tomes, Kiss, I want you to service me.
- Level 3 – Cost: 10000. Abilities: MP+50% / MP Costs*1/2. Options: Buy Sorcery Tomes, Kiss, I want you to service me, Make love.
When you come up to Bill and tell him you want to enter the covenant, he will be very happy, celebrating the fact that you want to enter his faith. Bill will thank you, saying how the Serpent God is delighted too.
Entering the covenant with Bill will allow you to buy sorcery tomes from him: Sorcery [Soul Arrow], Sorcery [Soul Discharge], Sorcery [Soul Light], Sorcery [Soul Radiance], Sorcery [Poison], Sorcery [Poison II].
Level 0 dialogue: “(your name), have you finished praying to the Serpent God? I’m a shrine maiden, of course I know～.”
Level 1 dialogue: “Um…I, in truth, there’s something I kept a secret from you, (your name). Ah, no…I can’t, sorry, allow it to remain a secret still… one day…one day I’ll certainly tell you～.”
Level 2 dialogue: “(your name). Even among the faithful, your dedication is incredible～. And you’re so much cooler and kinder than I…is it a yearning? No, it’s more… Ah? N-no, please don’t mind my musings, fufu～.”
Level 3 dialogue: “The Serpent God governs the eternity, and it’s said that his lifeblood grants immortality when drank. My daily prayers have been rewarded with some amount of it, though very small. One day, I’ll become like you, an undead… And then…we can always be together. Ufufu～…I’m serious, you know?”
Blackwell’s Punishment
If you manage to get Blackwell into the Ripon Grand Cathedral, eventually, as the Progression Points get higher, she will go insane. If she disappears from the room in the cathedral where your bonfire is, she will be in the basement where the lever for opening the door to the Serpent God’s Altar is.
If you kill the demonbeast version of Blackwell, Bill will mention how “an old woman in a plague mask” broke into his bedding and tried to steal the blood of the Serpent God. That made Bill really scared, but then you will tell him how you killed her, and he will be relieved.
This conversation will only happen if the level of your covenant is 1 or higher.
Bill’s Ring
When you reach the 2nd level of the covenant and talk to Bill again, he will thank you for your hard work and give you a gift.
Bill will give you the Poisonbite Ring.
He will say that this is a fruit of your faith. Bill immediately denies that the gift is from the Serpent God, saying how this one is a personal gift from him. He’s asking you to treasure it.
Bill’s Secret
When you reach the 3rd level of the covenant and talk to Bill again, he will have something to tell you, something very important to him.
Bill will finally reveal to you that he is a man.
Bill will say that he has been deceiving you all this time and that he fell in love with you. He says that he was afraid you would hate him, so he couldn’t tell you the truth.
He will be very sorry, begging you not to hate him.
And you will have the option to either tell him, “Even if you’re a boy, I still love you” or “You sicken me”.
If you accept Bill for who he is and tell him that you will love him even though he’s a boy, Bill will be very happy. He won’t believe what happened, sniffling, saying how his prayers to the Serpent God worked.
Bill will tell you that he’s very happy you accepted him and that you even returned his feelings. He says that if you only give him more of your love, he’ll become even more like a girl, all while asking you to be gentle with him from now on.
If you reject Bill, he will be upset. Although, it doesn’t look like it surprised him that much, saying “For a man to love another man, that would be crazy~!”. Bill will then call himself an idiot.
The next time you talk to him, Bill won’t be in such a good mental state.
If you come back later to talk to him, Bill will be in his demonbeast form, ready to kill you.
Homemade Lunch
If your covenant with Bill is on the 3rd level, one you time when you talk to him he will bring you some lunch he made for you.
When you talk to Bill, he will be wiggling his tail while holding a basket in his hands. He will be very happy to see you.
Bill will tell you that he made lunch for you, and you will have the option to either accept it or decline it.
If you accept Bill’s lunch, he will be even happier. Bill will say that once you finish it, he’ll make you another – he says that he’ll work hard to be the best lover for you.
You will get Bill’s Lunch Box – “Completely restores MP. There are eggs and colorful fruits packed inside.”
If you decline Bill’s lunch, you will slap the basket out of his hands. Then, you will stomp down the scattered ingredients, which “he must’ve carefully picked”, into a mess.
Bill will be shocked.
Bill will look at you with tears in his eyes, and you will be able to either comfort him or tell him that he makes you sick.
Comforting Bill will lead to you putting your hand on his cheek, gently comforting him before he bursts into tears. Bill will laugh awkwardly, asking you to not scare him like that, he’s glad that that was just a joke, and not you actually hating him.
Bill will tell you that it’s fine, and that you can throw as many of his lunches as you like, but he will ask you to not throw him away.
But if you don’t comfort Bill and tell him that he’s sick, he will go insane again and turn into a demonbeast later.
Summoning the Serpent God
After having sex with Bill while your covenant with him is on the 3rd level, Bill will say that he thinks he has heard the voice of the Serepent God. Bill says that he communicated to him that he wishes to reward you shortly.
This will make Bill very happy as your “ardent faith has finally been recognized”. Bill says that this is such a great honor and that until now, the Serpent God has appeared in person only to him.
He says that you too will be offered a gift of Serpent God’s blood – he’s very glad that all this happened.
The next time you come to the Serpent God’s Altar, he will be sitting on the altar, right behind Bill.
If you then talk to Bill, he will ask to confirm if you can see the Serpent God’s divine form, urging you to talk to him. You will then have to talk to the Serpent God, who has a quiet voice. But Bill says that the Serpent God is very shy, so his “divine voice” might be a bit hard to catch, so he will interpret until you get used to it.
Bill will interpret his speech for you – the Serpent God will want to “bond” with you, just like you bonded with Bill. Bill is very happy that the Serpent God watched as your and his love “bloomed”.
The Serpent God will look down in embarrassment, while Bill will urge you to deepen your love with him.
Bill’s Relationship with the Serpent God
Bill is very close with the Serpent God, and he follows his teachings very thoroughly. He is a very dear friend to Bill because he managed to change his entire life. The Serpent God made Bill understand the “feeling of wanting to become a girl and be cute” even though he’s a boy.
The Serpent God cares a lot about Bill, and he will curse you if you do anything bad to him. Killing Bill will anger the Serpent God, who will put a curse on you, which will give you occasional jumpscares and occasional visits from the Sacred Serpent.
You can have some unique H scenes involving both of them.
Bill will have a hard time telling you that he’s a man at first, and if you accept him, he will say how his “prayers to the Serpent God worked”.
Bill and Griffy
Under certain conditions, there’s a possibility you can encounter Bill and Griffy interacting with each other at the Serpent God’s Altar.
They will have a friendly conversation with each other, discussing Bill’s potential future role as a juror. He has already done it once, and Griffy is expecting him to do it again, but he will respond that he doesn’t want to follow the cause of the Queen of Hearts and that Griffy already asked him to do this.
Then their conversation will end with Griffy commenting on how Bill looks like a girl, he will cut her off there and then acknowledge your presence, asking Griffy to leave.

Miscellaneous interactions with Bill.
Fighting Lizard Bill
If you anger Bill or break his heart, you can get in a fight with him. You can also get in a fight with him if you have 0 SEN. Bill will be in his demonbeast form, and he will be quite different than usual.
If you broke his heart, and when you get into a fight with him while he’s a demonbeast, Bill will have an outburst of emotions directed at you. He will call you his puppy love, asking what should he do for you to return his love – he’s going insane.
If you take a significant portion of his health, Bill will even confess that for you, he even cut his penis, so now he’s a real girl. Even though he did that, you still reject him – he doesn’t understand why he is not good enough for you.
Defeating Bill will get you the Homeward Snakebone, an item that allows you to go back to your bonfire (it has unlimited use).
Bill in the Dungeon
When you rape Bill he will be sent to the Dungeon.
If you talk to Bill in the Dungeon he wil say that he’s still a girl at heart, so it hurts him to be treated so cruelly. If you talk some more to him he will say that he has been praying and praying but he can’t hear the voice of the Serpent God anymore. He’s wondering if the Serpent God forsake him.
You can make him say that he’s “Bill the female lizard” and that even though he’s a boy, you “kindly” made him your sex slave and that he’s very happy.
And of course, you can also rape him or kill him.
Endings F/G
Bill appears in his demonbeast form as an enemy during the events of Endings F/G, just like many other characters.
If you get in a fight with him he will pray to God, saying how he has one wish, and that is that he gets born as a girl if he’s born again. And if his wish can’t get fulfilled, then he at least wants for God to not make it so that a boy loves him.
If you take a significant portion of Bill’s health, he will say his famous line, asking you to accept him: “I’m an incestuous faggot in drag! What do you want me to call that? A triple handicap?!?!”

Bill has a very cute outfit – his upper part has long sleeves that look fancy and posh, while his legs are exposed by the skirt he’s wearing. He has black thigh highs and also a giant green tail that’s fairly noticeable, and it makes sense for him to have it since he’s a lizard.
His hair is green and short, but there’s a lot of it, so he has a hairband to keep it all together.
