The Serpent God is a character in BLACKSOULS 2 that appears in the Ripon Grand Cathedral, at the Serpent God’s Altar area. He’s the deity that Bill dedicated his entire life to worship, and he’s also a very cute boy, just like Bill.
He’s one of the Great Ones. It’s assumed that he’s Yig, the Father of Serpents – a deity from Cthulhu’s mythos.

For the Serpent God to appear you need to meet certain conditions. This includes increasing Bill’s covenant to the maximum level and then having sex with Bill. In short, be very good towards Bill and the Serpent God will bless you.
Serpent God’s Altar
Serpent God’s Altar is an area you can get to only after activating a switch in Ripon Grand Cathedral’s basement. Activating the switch will open a huge entrance in the main hall of the cathedral, and there you will first meet Bill.
But if you love Bill good enough and max out his covenant, you’ll be able to get the Serpent God to show himself before you.
When you talk to the Serpent God, you will notice his words are displayed in a very small text format, which indicates how difficult his voice is to catch, because the Serpent God is allegedly very shy.
The Serpent God will start talking to you, being very grateful for your prior worship while interacting with Bill. He will then offer you to drink his blood, and then make an offer to make love like you did with Bill, but later. The Serpent God will frequently address you as Teacher.
Then you will have certain dialogue options to choose from. You can either kiss him, make love, receive blood, or kill him.
Getting his blood from him will give you a consumable called the Serpent God’s Blood, it will provide you with immortality for a short time. But you will have to wait a little bit before getting it again.
When choosing to make love with him, you’ll be able to do it with him alone, or with Bill included too.
Bill will also warn you to never hurt the Serpent God, otherwise, you’ll face his wrath.
Killing the Serpent God
If your SEN is high enough you will see the Serpent God in his normal form. You can this way instantly kill him without having to fight him, but Bill will suddenly return to his true form, and he will no longer be a cute lizard boy. He will start chasing you around so he can kill you.
Serpent God’s Curse
If you kill Bill, or do anything that would harm him, i.e. sending him to the dungeon, the Serpent God will disappear, if he was already present in the cathedral. The Serpent God will be very angry, and he will give you occasional “serpent Alice” jumpscares, while also having the Sacred Snake chase you around to kill you.
The Sacred Snake is incredibly fast, so escaping her may be a struggle. Defeating her in a fight won’t kill her, she will just keep coming. Try running away if you can’t fight her.
The Sacred Snake will also be present by default in the cathedral.
You can turn off the jumpscares in the Room of Reminiscence.
Fighting the Serpent God
If your SEN is low enough, you will notice how the area will suddenly become full of lizards and dead people. The Serpent Good will take another form too, where his neck will be severely extended going incredibly high upwards, and Bill will be in his true form.
This first version of the Serpent God is fragile and easy to defeat, and then his second form will instantly come out, where he is a creature that has multiple snake heads attached to one snake body.
The Serpent God’s attacks are incredibly tough and they can oneshot you. Although he doesn’t have a lot of health, and therefore can be easy to beat.
Killing the Serpent God will bring you a lot of souls, and Serpent God’s Blood.
Then Bill will get aggravated, and he’ll start chasing you to kill you.
Personality
The Serpent God is very shy. He looks like a girl and acts like a one, but physically he’s a boy that just enjoys that sort of thing. The Serpent God is very cute too, his shyness shows up easily when you talk to him, and it’s not hard to make him flustered.
Design
The Serpent God’s design looks like it’s highly inspired by the traditional appearance of Alice. He has long blonde hair but it’s tied in a ponytail. He has light blue eyes and a modest dress that resembles Alice’s.
He also has black and white striped thigh highs.
