Queen of the Heart Lorina is a character in BLACKSOULS 2. Lorina is the Queen of the Heart and one of the Four Nightmares in Wonderland. She’s based on the Queen of Hearts from Lewis Carroll’s book, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.

Lorina is inside her castle, Red Castle Frissel. It takes a bit of effort to get to her.
Meeting Lorina
Lorina is located in the Queen’s Chamber area, which is inside the Red Castle Frissel. To get to her in the first place, go upstairs when you enter the castle, and then go to the right and just keep exploring the area until you reach her.
Once you’re in front of the fog that leads to her, there’s a chance you’ll be able to summon the Donkey King to help you fight her.
Once you pass through the fog, you will have to choose certain dialogue options to indicate why you came. Whatever you say doesn’t really matter, because she’ll just say “Off with his head”.
Three of her knights will corner you and initiate a fight with you.
The knights who will be fighting you are:
- Jude Kelt, the Knight of Spades
- Kiska, the Knight of Hearts
- Pin, the Knight of Clubs
Just like the rest of the enemies in the Red Castle Frissel, these knights aren’t too hard to overcome. Killing them will give you the Soul of the Knight of Spades, the Soul of the Knight of Hearts, and the Soul of the Knight of Clubs.
This will give you the chance to talk to Lorina, who will be very angry because her knights have been killed.
If you tell her you’re going to Alice, she’ll just laugh it off because she isn’t in this world. Lorina ordered Alice to be executed. She will then tell you to kill yourself and join Alice. If you decide to talk to her again, she’ll start talking about Griffy and how she will come and kill you.
Covenant and Its Events
Lorina is one of the characters you can get in a covenant with.
- Level 0 – Cost: Free. Abilities: Fire/Lightning/Ice/Dark/Light Resistance+15%. Options: X.
- Level 1 – Cost: 10000. Abilities: Fire/Lightning/Ice/Dark/Light Resistance+25%. Options: Kiss, Buy Cards.
- Level 2 – Cost: 20000. Abilities: Fire/Lightning/Ice/Dark/Light Resistance+35%. Options: Kiss, I want you to service me, Buy Cards.
- Level 3 – Cost: 30000. Abilities: Fire/Lightning/Ice/Dark/Light Resistance+50%. Options: Kiss, I want you to service me, Make love, Buy Cards.
When you approach Lorina and ask to get in a covenant with her, she will at first think you are coming for her neck too, until she realizes you just want a covenant. Lorina is feisty – she will ask if you’ll be able to replace the fallen knights, so she orders you to bow and swear an oath of eternal allegiance to her.
After you form a covenant, she will tell you not to call her the Queen of the Heart.
When you’re in a covenant with Lorina and have the Queen’s Tarts in your inventory, the next time you talk to her she will call you out, saying how she made those tarts in secret and left them there, so it would be “very grand of you” to anticipate her desires and bring them over to her. If you give her the tarts, she will eat them happily, and ask you what you are staring at, and if you keep the tarts, she will shout “off with your head”.
Level 0 dialogue: “Wake up early for a beheading, enjoy a beheading with afternoon tea, and a beheading after dinner is a must! Did you understand? Quickly, bring me a neck!”
When you get Lorina’s covenant to level 1, you will be able to buy Cards of Hindsight from her. Cards of Hindsight return the souls you last dropped, but one costs 10000 souls.
When you leave the card shop menu, she will ask if the card soldiers are still attacking you. Lorina says that they lost their minds long ago, so pointlessly increasing their numbers was a mistake.
Level 1 dialogue: “That insolent Duchess said that I had ‘a temper tantrum’! What is that supposed to be about?! I’ve never even eaten tempered chocolate!”
When you get Lorina’s covenant to level 2, she will say that she evaluates your manner of work highly, and that all the knights she had before were nothing but “fools who only thought of themselves”. She says that they couldn’t even hold a proper conversation once they turned demonbeasts, and the Duchess bores her with her flattery.
Lorina will tell you that you are the only one with whom her loneliness vanishes. She tells you to forget about Alice, not to become a demonbeast, and to always be by her side.
But then Lorina will get embarrassed and tell you to forget what she said just now.
You will then get the option to either pat her head or kneel – if you pat her head, she’ll tell you to stop, and call you a dunce. If you kneel, she will be happy that you’re her knight.
From now on, you will be able to see her outside the Red Castle Frissel on the balcony, where she’s waiting for your return. She will happily jump when you enter her castle.
Level 2 dialogue: “….Do I need to spell it out to you? Quickly, princess carry! Yes, like this! And for a bit more….ehehe～♪”
When your covenant is at the max level, you will be able to play a match of strip cards with Lorina. When you leave the card shop menu, Lorina will ask you if you want to play a match of strip cards.
You can play it, but you can also reject it.
You will play High&Low with Lorina. You need to guess whether your card is higher or lower than the card Lorina pulled. Each time you get a correct guess, you can strip a piece of clothing from her.
If you get three wrong guesses, you will lose the game, and she will get really mad. Lorina will prepare herself to cut your head off, but she will lightly strike your neck instead. She will then tell you to win next time.
When you win the game, you will get her completely naked, and then you can either continue playing the game or you can make love to her.
Level 3 dialogue: “I commanded soldiers to leave me. With the exception of you and me, no one may enter this room. …Do you understand what I’m getting at? …..ehehe…♡ Come, huuuug♡ Squeeeeeze♡ Never-never let go♡ Not allowed♡ Because I love you so much♡ Always be by my side! You must!♡”

Miscellaneous interactions with Lorina.
Fighting the Queen of the Heart Lorina
You can fight Lorina if you have 0 SEN, that’s when she will be in her demonbeast form. She’s a difficult enemy to defeat, and her whole appearance is cool but frightening at the same time.
Corpse-Eaters
If you beat Meryphillia, you can go back and report to Lorina that you took care of her. Lorina doesn’t like corpse-eaters at all, so she usually sends them to the Slaughterhouse so they can be killed “forever” because it’s almost impossible for them to die.
Lorina says that they have a pathogen that makes them crave dead flesh and that despite that, they try to become “the living”. According to Lorina, it’s perhaps because “they yearn for the pure souls, though we wouldn’t know…”
She says that the main problem with corpse-eaters is that they can read the memories of humans they eat and disguise themselves after them. They can easily trick another human being. Lorina says that accepting their existence will “bring swift ruin to this country!”.
If Griffy went with you to kill the corpse-eater, then Lorina would have a slightly different dialogue. If you defeat Meryphillia without Griffy, Lorina will give you a small reward of 3000 souls, and each one of every colored soul.
Lorina’s Assassination
At the end of Griffy’s storyline, she will come to the Queen’s Chamber and assassinate Queen Lorina. When you come to see Lorina, you will find Griffy on her throne, who is under a lot of pressure as she killed the Queen of Hearts, who was begging and crying to her very death.
It seems that Lorina didn’t fight back while Griffy was trying to kill her.
When you come into the room, there’ll be a lot of blood on Lorina’s throne.
Griffy will say that the “mad bloodline must be destroyed to the last. Just like the Red Queen said… Hahaha, hihi……”. The Red Queen that Griffy mentions is Prickett, but after that, all that’s left is to fight the demonbeast version of Griffy.
Although nothing of this has to happen if you don’t care about Griffy’s storyline, or if you decide to kill her along the way.
Endings F/G
Lorina is one of the entities that will be present in the Little Girl’s Nightmare during Endings F and G. Avoiding her is a bit hard and she’s a strong enemy – during the fight with her she will express her feelings of jealousy towards Alice by saying things such as “Why is it only Alice you favor?? Send a book to me too.”
Lorina in the Dungeon
When you rape Lorina and put her in the Dungeon, you will notice that she lost her ability to speak. She’s kinda broken.
True Identity
The Queen of the Heart Lorina probably used to be Lorina Liddell at some point – the girl you meet in the visual novel section of the game that’s placed way later in DLC3. Lorina Liddell is based on real-life Alice’s older sister, who went by the same full name.
Even though Lorina looks slightly different than she did before, she will often display open jealousy towards Alice and will even call you “teacher” when you try to kill her.
Lorina is jealous that Lewis Carroll chose Alice, her younger sister, over her. He used to be a teacher, and that’s why Lorina calls him by that name, since it’s the only one she’s used to calling him.
In the Mental Ward, there’s a rabbit doll that says “Liddell’s Doll” when you interact with it. During the H scenes with Lorina Liddell, she will be holding that doll with her, so even though Edith is the one stuck in the Mental Ward, it’s possible that Lorina was there for some time as well.
If you have 0 SEN, the sign at the entrance area of the Red Castle Frissel says: “I won’t allow her to hog the teacher to herself. I’ll get him to care about me, even if I have to offer my soul to an evil God.”

Design
Lorina’s design is very unique and distinguishable. She has short black hair, pale skin, and dark red eyes. Her body is tiny and she’s very small in comparison to some of the stuff she’s wearing. For example, her black cape is really big and even has some kind of spikes attached to certain parts of it.
Under her cape, she has a red dress and, on her legs, she has black thigh highs.
