Red Idol Prickett

Red Idol Prickett is an idol and the second-generation Red Queen in BLACKSOULS 2. She can be found in Queensland, which is her garden. She’s an important character in the overall story of the game.

Appearances | BS2

Prickett appears in Queensland, i.e. her garden. To get to Queensland you need to hop on a train at Abandoned Station Hanover. You can either show the Train Ticket to Hein, that’s given by the Duchess, or you can just kill Hein if you’re strong enough.

Prickett’s Concert

Before you meet Prickett you should go to the Theater area inside the Queen’s Castle because that’s where you can witness Prickett perform as an idol. This is also where you will hear one of the very rare soundtracks in the game that has actual vocals, as Prickett will be happily singing for you and the other Followers of the Idol.

To activate the concert you must have high SEN, you mustn’t attack a Follower of the Idol, you shouldn’t meet Prickett, and when you come into the Theater you should wait for a little bit before the concert starts.

Here are the lyrics of the song Star Dream Gazer, that Prickett is singing:

Red Room

One of the first places where you can meet Prickett is the Red Room, which is her room located at the back of the Theater. If you have 0 SEN and come into Prickett’s room, you will see Alice instead of her for a brief second when you talk to her for the first time.

Prickett will be surprised to see you because you’re basically in the no-entry area. She’ll ask you if you’re one of her fans. Although you can agree to that, you can try killing her or sending her to the dungeon if you don’t like her for some reason.

She’ll then proceed to tell you how she originally lived in the cosmos, but she had to fall on this planet because of some stuff.

Soon enough, you will get the option to ask Prickett where is Alice, but she will ask you if you really explored the entirety of Wonderland, saying how “it’s a special theme park prepared with lots of effort just for you☆”.

If you continue talking to her, she will tell you that there’s a girl waiting for you in the next room. She is most likely talking about Leaf who is now known in the game as Mary Ann because she’s in the Fairy Jail inside the Queen’s Castle.

If you ask her where is Alice again later, she’ll tell you that Alice must have been changed for Mabel.

Prickett’s Bed

If you come next to Prickett’s bed and interact with it, Prickett will make fun of how boys are always “mesmerized with beds”. Then she will ask you if you’re up for some fanservice because doing stuff with her fans is what gets her going.

This will activate an NSFW scene on the bed.

You can do this again at any time by interacting with the bed again.

Fighting the Red Idol Prickett

If you don’t like Prickett that much and just want to kill her as soon as possible, you can try but that will initiate a fight with her. She’s difficult to defeat because she has a lot of health, and her attacks are very strong. Prickett can basically oneshot you with just a single kick.

Killing her will give you a Girl’s Scent and a Tainted Black Soul. You will also lose 30 SEN.

Covenant

Prickett is one of the characters you can get in a covenant with.

• Level 0 – Cost: Free. Abilities: Chance to be targeted+200%. Options: X.
• Level 1 – Cost: 1000. Abilities: Chance to be targeted+300%. Options: Kiss.
• Level 2 – Cost: 3000. Abilities: Chance to be targeted+400%. Options: Kiss, I want you to service me.
• Level 3 – Cost: 7000. Abilities: Aggro+500%, Drop Rates Doubled. Options: Invite her on a date, Kiss, I want you to service me, Make love.

When you’re about to enter a covenant with Prickett, she will say: “You want to enter into a covenant with Prickett? Yup, sure thing☆. To be honest, I can feel the Love Destiny connecting me with you! Maybe you’re my Prince Charming, here for Prickett?☆ Kyaaaaa♡♡”

Level 0 dialogue: “Miss Prickett must radiantly shine no matter what! She’s everyone’s first star☆☆☆”

Level 1 dialogue: “Prickett is the second generation Red Queen☆ Tyranny is a lazy and arrogant way to rule! A country where everyone can think happily is the pragmatic approach☆”

Level 2 dialogue: “Wonderland is full of shady characters～! Here, spin it, turn it, once around, sane is on the flipside of insane! I’ll sing to spread the epidemic of smiles through the mirror～☆”

After getting to the 3rd level of the covenant, when you talk to Prickett she will ask if you could take her on a date.

If you tell her “What’s this all about?”, Prickett will say that she has been secluding herself inside for so long, and that she’s sick and tired of it. She will also mention that she’s a girl and that there’s nothing wrong with hoping to go on a date.

If you tell her “No way”, Prickett will respond with: “Auuu～! Miiiser!”

You will be able to invite Prickett on a date now.

Level 3 dialogue: “(your name), your psyche is always sitting somewhere between mad and sad☆ Negative emotions are no good～! C’mon, smiiile☆”

Date with Prickett

If you maxxed out your covenant with Prickett, she will offer you to go on a date with her. She will ask you whether you want to go on a date with her or not, but it will be left to you to decide when you want to take her.

When you call her on the date, it will start in the middle of Queensland, and it’s on you to take her wherever you want. You can get some food with Prickett at Vauxhall Stall, watch Punch&Judy with her, go to a Mystery Maze with her, go to the Lovecraft Cinema with her, and buy candy with her.

If you press the “A” keyboard button, you will be able to do certain actions lovers probably do on dates. Leaving the Queensland area isn’t possible, you will be given the option to end the date.

Eating With Prickett

You can go and eat with Prickett if you go to the Vauxhall Dealer.

You can order a Snap-dragon-fly, Bread-and-Butterfly, Yogurt Sauce, Rato-Potato, or Tstogu Milk.

Prickett will order one glass of Tstogu Milk and she will happily drink the weird drink. You will enjoy the peaceful time with her but suddenly you will also question whether you should be doing this or not because you already have your dear Alice, and then Grimm will say “The stars in Prickett’s eyes twinkled as if she knew what was going on behind my dejected expression.”

Prickett will say how you and her are quite similar, describing the both of you as “souls existing in abundance, scrambling for any sort of control, and trying to satisfy uncontainable desires…”

She will ask if it feels constraining, asking why not sneak away just like she did.

If you say “I don’t know what you mean” she will say that it’s nothing complicated and that she’s only talking about just you two running away from this land.

If you say “I have to search for Alice” she will say that’s too bad, and that Prickett can never become Alice or Mabel.

If you say “One day time to separate will come” she will ask if you will come to visit her again, when that one day comes.

When the conversation ends she will apologize for “this lame talk”, and say “I was running a little low on spices, and, to you, I still……”, but before she finishes her sentence she will stop herself from saying anything and will just empty her glass of Tstogu milk.

Prickett Starts Crying

Prickett will start crying after the Tea Party for Three movie ends in Lovecraft Cinema while you’re on a date with her. This doesn’t happen to her in any other movies.

When you ask her why is she crying she will say how that’s strange and that maybe the movie was just that sad. During this moment you can clasp her hand but you can also ignore her.

The movie Tea Party for Three is about the Prayer Master, Alice, and the Nameless newcomer, and their fun time in Wonderland. The Newcomer and Alice fell in love with one another while the Prayer Master got jealous of that love and therefore prayed for them to be separated.

Mystery Maze Alice

Inside the Mystery Maze, Prickett will separate herself from you and you will have to search for her inside the maze. There’s a random chance you will find Alice in the maze, but you will not be able to understand her without Prickett’s Ring.

Then, Prickett will appear instead of her, with quite depressing things to say to you, most importantly about how she’ll be left alone once you find Alice.

The encrypted dialogue isn’t anything special, besides her just screaming “no”, and to “not look here”.

Prickett’s Ring

When you finish your first date with Prickett, and talk to her again in her room, she will give you her ring – the Prickett’s Ring. This ring will allow you to understand what certain characters are saying when their text suddenly becomes cryptic.

This ring is important for understanding certain dialogue important for the game’s lore, and it’s a must-have for Ending H.

Prickett’s Tragedy

In the Winterbell area, there are some houses you can enter, and inside those houses, there are stuffed white bear plushies that hold memories of certain events, that happened between certain Great Ones.

This one memory starts with a description of a red room, this red room has red carpets, red wallpapers, red desks, and scattered deep red blood. Then the scene will cut to sharp knife stabs in the abdomen, chest, and neck, and it will continue with a description of wounds opening and closing, and the pool of blood constantly spreading.

Then Prickett will utter some sounds, and the sounds of knives and knife stabs will continue happening. The narrator will describe how those aren’t tears of pain, but rather of sorrow, saying how the room will turn into a pond because of all the blood and tears.

Prickett will be constantly apologizing, and just right when she was about to sever her neck, a white hand stopped her from doing that.

Node will say that she can’t watch this anymore, and will ask Prickett why’s she trying to kill herself. Prickett will say how she even now knows that “he’s” suffering, all because of her, so she just wants to share in his pain.

That “he” is Grimm.

Then Node just thinks to herself how that’s stupid, that her harming herself won’t aid him, and that he wouldn’t ever wish for her pain. Node stopped herself from saying this out loud because she didn’t want to scold Prickett because according to her she was in a seat from where she couldn’t be blamed.

Prickett will then notice Node’s silence and she will say “I’m absolutely revolting, aren’t I?”, but Node will just apologize for not being able to follow her wishes. Prickett will tell her to not say that, and then all the red spilling from the wounds turns black.

Prickett will continue with how she wants to be a regular human girl, so Node hugs her in a way to stop her from dwelling more on her sorrow. Node understood Prickett, and that’s why she felt for her.

After that, the scene will end, and another stuffed bear will appear right next to the one you just viewed.

This next snippet of memories will start with Node thanking Prickett for “inheriting the ruling authority of this country”. Prickett will say how she should be the one saying that, remarking how it’s such shame for the snow and the sea to be gone.

Prickett will cheerfully continue with how she plans to build an amusement park anyone can enjoy, describing it as paradise and an everlasting summer adventure. Node will laugh and say how Prickett changed – remarking how it’s hard to believe she was once a part of the Crawling One.

Prickett will respond how she should go back to her old way of talking because this is perhaps maybe too forced. Node will object, saying how it’s lovely.

But then Node will tell her how she wants to talk to Prickett about something, so Prickett will offer her to go for a little walk. After a few seconds pass Node will ask her what’s the place where they’re at now, and Prickett will say how this is her “personal domain”, although it’s tiny, it’s a place where the Crawling One shouldn’t see or affect anything inside it.

Node will ask Prickett if she found a way to save Grimm at last. Prickett will say that she did, but she needs Node’s help to do it. Node will be ready to do anything, so Prickett will ask her if she’d lay down her life for Grimm, Node will obviously say yes, and then Prickett will tell her what’s she planning to do to save Grimm.

Node will say that the chance of success is “impossibly low”. Prickett will say that she knows, but remarking how there’s not really any other way to save him from the curse of Cycles and return him safely to reality. Node will ask Prickett if she told anyone else about the plan, and Prickett will say she didn’t, so Node will follow up with how she won’t cooperate with Prickett if she’s lying.

So Prickett will admit she spoke to Mabel. And then Prickett will start spiraling down into a depressive episode again, so after she rambles more about her feelings and love, Node will say how she understands her and that she will aid Prickett.

It ends with Prickett thanking Node, saying how she’ll trust her.

Involvement With Grand Guignol

In the Chaos Dungeon library, you can find some information on Grand Guignol and Prickett’s involvement with it.

Prickett and Node stripped Mary Sue of her divinity and they stole her Ability to Change. They decided to take this power and put it into a new Great One so that neither of them could use it to trick one another.

This new Great One is the Theatre of Darkness, Grand Guignol.

Prickett and Node are on good terms and they both really care about Grimm, but she also cooperates with Mabel so that the Crawling One can be taken down along with his garden.

In the Queen’s Castle, there’s even a door that leads to the Chaos Dungeon.

Prickett/Alice

There are major hints in the game that connect Prickett and Alice, some are minor details but they’re still described in certain parts of this post.

Prickett is a part of the Crawling One, she’s an autonomous part of it that seems to display feelings of love or affection towards Grimm.

In the Library at Ox Ward University, you can meet Alice 02-D, who’s also known as Doll Alice. She’s another one of Alice dolls just like Alice-02 from the first game, and she will recognize you as her master. When you talk to her under certain conditions, she will ask you to visit Winterbell because Alice 01, the one who created her, waits for you there.

Doll Alice used to be Grand Guignol and the only characters credited for creating it are Node and Prickett, which only solidifies the claim that Alice 01 is in fact Prickett since Node was never an Alice, and Prickett perfectly matches the criteria.

This would also imply that Alice 01 was the Alice present during the tea parties and fun time in Wonderland, which explains why the Tea Party for Three movie in Lovecraft Cinema is the only one that made Prickett cry.

Prickett being a part of the Crawling One is also implied during your date with her. When you go to the Vauxhall Dealer to eat something she tells you “You and I are quite similar, right? Souls existing in abundance, scrambling for any sort of control, and trying to satisfy uncontainable desires…”.

Ending H

When you defeat Grand Guignol you will trigger the events of the Ending H.

If you let the Crawling Girls pull you down with them in the abyss at the part where you separate from Red Hood, the game will end there if you don’t have the Prickett’s Ring with you. Equipping it is also important for understanding what the Alices are truly saying.

With Prickett’s Ring by your side, you will see a scene where Grimm is surrounded by countless Alices without faces. However, one of the Alices peeping from behind has a fully formed face although she’s bald which is totally unusual.

Grimm is losing himself in the endless void of Alices and he’s at a breaking point, but when he’s in despair questioning his existence, Bald Alice from behind will take notice of him and tell him that he’s “Grimm”.

Bald Alice quickly extends herself in an inhuman manner coming towards Grimm, embracing him from the back while telling him to escape and that now he can finally return to reality.

Grimm is tired and just wants to sleep, he hears the voice of the “dear little girl” in the dark but his “memory is dead” so he can’t remember it.

Grimm says that his existence brings sorrow to everyone and that he only wants to disappear, unknown by all. But Bald Alice will ask him if that’s what he really wants questioning him if this is the scenery he wanted to reach after so many countless repeats.

This will stop Grimm from getting more depressed and he will say that this isn’t what he wanted and that this is the “worst tale”.

Bald Alice will then take the form of a proper Alice and she will embrace Grimm from behind, apologizing for everything saying how because of her he suffered so much and that she shouldn’t have run away because she should’ve been by his side instead.

At this exact moment, Grimm addresses Alice as “The Crawling One” by saying “The Crawling One doesn’t move. Time stands still.”.

Alice will say how she can finally save him while asking him to follow her.

Alice will lead Grimm towards a bright light and he will leave the darkness, being able to see the light shining through. Grimm then steps into the White World, but he realizes that her hand has left his.

Alice is standing away from Grimm, still standing by the darkness smiling at him.

Grimm tries to reach Alice but fails, he wants Alice to come with him but she can’t go yet.

Alice apologizes while also saying that she can’t be with him anymore. She tells Grimm to forget her memories and her touch as if it were a dream, telling him to walk and run never stopping and never turning back.

Grimm refuses to forget her and he declares that one day he will take her gentle hand and return to save her.

Saying his final words to her: “And we’ll reunite as lovers once more”.

This is when you will reach the Heartbroken END.

The Crawling One is gone, at least for the time being.

Personality

Prickett is an idol, and naturally, she’s always cheerful and full of joy. Her personality is really bright, she’s sweet and romantic. She cares for Grimm too and holds genuine affection toward him. But even she can get sad when the moment is right. Prickett is afraid of being left alone.

Design

Prickett is very stylish with her clothing. It’s mostly consisted of warm pink, deep red, and black colors. Her upper piece of clothing is tight and it doesn’t have sleeves so her arms are exposed, she has a black ribbon on it. She also has a fluffy skirt, black thigh highs, and black heels.

Prickett’s eyes are red, her face is always cheerful, and she has long pink hair that’s beautiful and lavish.
