Crown of the Lion and Unicorn, most commonly referred to as DLC3, is an expansion for BLACKSOULS 2 that adds new characters, areas, weapons, bosses, and endings for the main game. It’s an important part of the game you shouldn’t ignore, even though it’s optional.
The main difference between the original game and DLC3 is that the difficulty of enemies has significantly increased. This mixed with a new variety of weapons and playstyles makes combat even more fun, challenging, and rewarding.
There are a lot of very memorable NSFW scenes in this part of the game.
Some old characters also appear here among the many new ones you can find in Winterbell – the new Garden added in this expansion.
The Start
To start completing DLC3 you first have to meet certain conditions in the current save.
You need to:
- Finish Ending G
- Talk to Mabel for the first time
After you are done with these two conditions, you need to go to the Carroll River, to the beginning part when you’re coming from Ox Ward University, to be specific.
You will notice a hidden path in the forest that has the Winter Witch and the Winter Warrior in front of it.
There you will see a boat which you need to ride to another location, where you can find a wooden door which you have to go through.
And that’s how you begin with DLC3.
Setting
When you go through the door in the hidden snowy area while still in Wonderland, you will start DLC3 with a cutscene where Florence and some other nurses find you inside a coffin that drifted away towards them.
After that ends you will wake up in a hospital – Crimean Nursing Graveyard, and you are one of the new patients.
This hospital is full of medical horrors, deranged psychopaths, and many other scary things.
When you leave this entire facility, you will be in a different Garden – Winterbell, which is a snowy fantasy world that you will have to explore. It’s not specified yet whether the Crimean Nursing Graveyard is a part of Winterbell, or if it’s Wonderland or some other Garden.

DLC3 has a lot of new characters, but characters from the main game make important appearances too.
