White Lion Leiden is a character in BLACKSOULS 2 who’s the leader of the Ravenous Fang Troop who’s trying to snatch away the Crown from Unis, and the White Queen in DLC3 part of the game.
She’s based on the Lion and the Unicorn from Lewis Carroll’s book Through the Looking-Glass. Leiden is the Lion, while Unis, her rival, is the Unicorn.

You may stumble upon Leiden for the first time at the Lion’s Fort, but only if you didn’t take Unis’ route in the war between the Lion and the Unicorn.
Meeting Leiden
If you go up from the Avalanche Forest, you will reach Lion’s Fort, and next to a few big lions, there will be Leiden, guarding the entrance to the next area. You will be able to strike up a conversation with her and call her out.
Leiden is quite assertive while talking to you, and she will introduce herself to you as the chief of Ravenous Fang Troop. She will ask you to join her troop, and you can accept, decline, send her to the dungeon, or kill her.
After you join Leiden will tell you she’s heading north, implying you should follow her.
Killing Leiden
If you try to kill Leiden, or if you try to send her to the dungeon, you will initiate a fight with her and she will be accompanied by a Saber-Tooth to help her in combat.
Leiden will activate her domain – White Domain “Lion’s Fury”, this domain disables techniques, and it will make you lose defense and evasion as turns pass, down to -100%.
She’s one of the toughest enemies in the game so you should be careful while fighting her.
If you manage to kill Leiden while one of the tigers is alive, she will ask you if you’re willing to spare her life or not, because this is not what she expected to happen in her “contest of strength”. You can end the fight, send her to the dungeon, or just kill her.
Leiden’s Embrace
You will be greeted by Leiden when you go through the Windless Valley after defeating the Wind of Winterbell. She will remark how you slew an Outer One, i.e. the Wind of Winterbell, and how you must be strong then.
She will tell you you’re amazing and then offer to warm you up. If you accept her offer for warming up she will hug you and apologize for exposing you to such dangers.
After that’s over, she’ll head to the castle where Unis will be.
Argument with Unis
When you finally reach the White Gate with Leiden, Unis will be there already with two of her horses. Leiden will not be surprised that she’s here, but will also question why she’s confronting her again if she already beat her once.
Unis will tell her how a beast doesn’t need a crown, addressing Leiden as a beast, and Unis also vows then that she’ll protect this country no matter what. Leiden will call her out by saying she only wants the crown for herself.
Unis will not hide that fact, by saying the queen failed to see her vision, and now she has to take the crown and establish a new order. She will politely ask Leiden to die.
Then Unis will start running and Leiden will kill her horses, presumably continuing their clash inside the castle’s walls now that they passed the gate.
Duel with Unis
After you reach the Dueling Grounds after exploring the White Castletown, you will eventually encounter a fog and Unis behind it.
This is where you’ll be fighting her.
Unis will be on the bridge and she will start talking about how love and rights should’ve been given to all females and only females, claiming how the White Queen is “blind to reality”. She loved the White Queen because she was so rational and beautiful, but “a vulgar male has driven her mad”.
Unis will be furious and she knows you’re on Leiden’s side. She will claim that Leiden only wants to ruin Winterbell and make the innocent and the weak consumed by violence. Unis will tell you to kill Leiden, but once you refuse she will claim how you’ve been also swallowed by lust.
And then she will attack you.
Defeating Unis will throw her into a rage where she will be very mad about the fact a male beat her in a fight. Leiden will pop up suddenly and tell Unis that she lost. Unis will call her a bitch for bringing in Grimm to take care of her dirty work, and then when Leiden proclaims the wish to kill her, Unis will ask to talk it out since they’re both females.
Leiden will say that they’re all animals, “just moving flesh and blood”, so gender doesn’t matter to her. And then after Unis tries to protest, Leiden will just smash her into a wall and kill her for real.
She will then congratulate you, claiming that Unis was a renowned duelist of the noble unicorn family. You will be able to ask Leiden to praise you, or if she will destroy Winterbell. If you ask her if she wants to destroy Winterbell, she will say “Yeah, sorry for not telling you”. And then she will go on a rant about why and how this country deserves what it deserves and why she’s destroying it entirely.
You will get the option to comment on all of this, and after that, you and Leiden will proceed further.
What you will see next is a rain of blood and Leiden will ask where her little brothers are, i.e. her saber-tooth relatives. And then you will hear someone laugh.
You will see Mabel sitting on top of something giggling while drops of blood are falling from the sky, imitating a rain falling out of the clouds.
Mabel jumped down from the pillar she was sitting on and Leiden asked her where her little brothers went, only for Mabel to confirm they all burst up in the sky. Leiden will be confused, and Mabel will declare the end for Leiden, proclaiming how the Lion and the Unicorn never get the crown, dying in the end.
You can try to save Leiden and then Mabel will disappear, which will make Leiden kinda mad because she’s strong enough to defend herself, or that’s at least what she claims. Leiden will give up on the crown in the end and just leave.
But if you don’t want to save Leiden, she will charge straight into Mabel but Mabel is way stronger than Leiden so it won’t affect her all too much. Mabel will mock Leiden, and that’s when she just executes Leiden on the spot because Leiden is not an Outer God like her.
Personality
Leiden has a violent nature and she doesn’t talk a lot, and even when she does her sentences are quite simple and easy to understand. She values physical strength a lot, and that’s why she and her allies are very powerful in that sense.
Leiden is also very caring when it comes to it, and she will praise you when you do good, without being ashamed of anything. She’s very animalistic.
Design
Leiden is one of the bigger female characters in the game, but she’s not exactly fat but rather big and strong. Her body is big and so are her curves, her chest and stomach are left exposed for the most part, while the rest of her body wears heavy-looking armor.
Leiden has darker skin, while her hair is white and long. Her facial expressions aren’t too expressive. When you fight Leiden, you can notice how her giant axe-like weapons have teeth and eyes of their own. Leiden even has a lion’s tail, since she’s a humanoid lion.
