Snow Boy Kai is a character in BLACKSOULS 2 that appears in the DLC3 part of the game, to be exact he appears in Winterbell, in the Temple at White Castletown. Kai is based on Kai from the fairytale “The Snow Queen”, and he’s also a boy dear to Gerda that she lost.

Kai is in the Temple of the White Castletown area. If you come before Gerda comes then you will encounter him while he’s still a Snowman. When you talk to him here he will address you as “Father”. Kai addresses Grimm as father most likely because Andersen is the real-life writer of his fairytale.
In the conversation with him there he will reveal how he isn’t the real Kai, and how Gerda will see him as her “perfect Kai” once she comes. And that’s why the Snowman is begging you to kill him, so Gerda doesn’t go insane.
But if you don’t kill him, or if you interacted with Gerda before, she will get to Kai before you do and then when you enter the Temple, you will see them two talking. Kai will claim that he’s a snowman she built that instantly melted, but she built him again and again until his “ego was complete”. Kai enjoyed his time with Gerda, but after he got an ego, he realized that he didn’t want to be in that “white world” where Gerda used to be.
But then he wanted to go outside, so he suggested that to Gerda but she didn’t understand because she was told the outside is dangerous. Kai said how their world has no future, and how he only wanted to see many different sceneries with Gerda, but she will say how she had to become a heroine but she fell in love with her friend.
Kai will suggest to discuss it one time, to begin their story, but Gerda keeps insisting that Kai goes back so he doesn’t get erased again. Kai will say how he’s never going back, and he will accuse Gerda of acting weird because of some monster, but then before Kai finishes his sentence she blows his head with her father’s rifle.
During this conversation, Gerda attributed bad things happening to the deeds of the Snow Queen. The “pure white” place Kai mentioned is where Gerda says they came from, saying “so when we were kids we made all the snowmen we wanted under the rose arches in our small garden”.
