Poro is Red Hood’s companion and a talking wolf in the BLACKSOULS series. He appears for the first time in Red Hood’s Woods and then in the other games in the series as well.

Poro is one of the main characters in Red Hood’s Woods – the game covers parts of Red Hood’s backstory and you’re playing as her.
Meeting Poro
After progressing a little bit through the game when you go back to the Basement you’ll see Poro standing there by the shining table. You can talk to him, trade with him, and reinforce a weapon.
Red Hood here still doesn’t recognize him as Poro, but rather just sees him as the Wolf.
Fog Woods Depths
Upon exploring the Fog Woods you will eventually reach Fog Woods Depths and there you will also find Poro waiting for you. He will just be there to warn you about the first boss you’re going to encounter – the Fog Monster.
Lake of Goddess
From the Lake Woods, you can reach the Lake of Goddess area and there’s a Rusted Axe stuck in a tree trunk you can pick up. There will be something squirming in the water and there you can throw the axe, which will give you a Meat Clever in return.
Then Poro will appear at the entrance of the area and he will accuse you of killing the spring goddess, which Red Hood claims to be an accident on her part.
Wolf’s Bones
When you reach the Final Volcano area there will be a set of bones you can interact with.
Red Hood will wonder if these are the Wolf’s bones.
Meeting Red Hood
Defeating the Incandecent Demon King will activate a cutscene that shows how Red Hood and Poro initially met. Red Hood one day called out a wolf that was passing by and asked him if he could eat someone, but the wolf was too afraid of attacking a human so he refused.
Red Hood went in and killed her grandpa, sliced him up, and brought him to the wolf. That wolf said his name was Poro, and he brought a little bit more happiness into her life, especially now that her grandpa was gone as well. Red Hood hated her grandpa because he molested her a lot.
Fight with Red Hood
During the later part of Red Hood’s Woods, Red Hood will have to fight Poro because he will lose his mind and become very aggressive and hungry. He will want to taste human flesh once again, most likely because Red Hood fed him her grandpa’s meat.
If you defeat Poro, he and Red Hood will make up and also have an NSFW scene.
Appearances | BS1 & BS2
Poro makes his appearance again in the first BLACKSOULS game and he is always by Red Hood’s side and she still deeply cares about him. In the second BLACKSOULS game, Poro appears in certain endings of the game and Red Hood is usually alone when you stumble upon her in Wonderland.

Personality
Poro is loyal to Red Hood. He will always protect her no matter what and he will go wherever with her. Poro is present during important parts of the game as Red Hood’s guardian, and he’s the person she has the closest relationship with if you don’t count Grimm.
Design
Appearance-wise, Poro isn’t anything special. He’s just a classic grey wolf that’s big and dangerous. He’s kinda cute if you look at him long enough. Just like Red Hood, his origin can be found in the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale.
