Soul Lady Elisabeth

Soul Lady Elisabeth is a companion and a fairytale in the first BLACKSOULS game. She’s based on Elizabeth Báthory – a real-life noblewoman and alleged serial killer from Hungary from the 16th century.

She’s a significant character in the game and appears in the majority of the BLACKSOULS games. Elisabeth has a storyline with Red Hood.

In Red Hood’s Woods, there’s a character extremely similar to Elisabeth, who claims to be Red Hood’s grandma. The character who resembles her is Grandmother.

Elisabeth appears for the first time in the first BLACKSOULS game. She seems like a mysterious character at first.

Meeting Elisabeth

Elisabeth will appear in the southern part of the Holy Forest after you progress a little bit in the game. She will be sitting on the bench.

When you talk to Elisabeth, she will immediately introduce herself to you, saying how she’s lost, but after many struggles, she finally reached this safe harbor. She thinks she should stay there, in the Holy Forest, for a while as such an experience is “akin to seeing a blue moon” for her.

Elisabeth has a hobby of collecting souls, so you can buy colored souls from her – 1 costs 10000 souls. She doesn’t sell Black Souls, you can buy Black Souls from Hein.

She talks like a noble, and everything about her seems that way.

You can try to rape Elisabeth but that will get you in a fight with her, she’s a difficult enemy to defeat at the beginning of the game.

Elisabeth’s Lost Ring

When you progress more in the game, you may notice that Elisabeth is no longer sitting on the bench in the southern part of the Holy Forest. She will be in the northern part right before Ezwald, and she will be roaming around, looking like she’s searching for something.

If you talk to her, she will be muttering to herself about what she should do now, saying how something terrible has happened to her.

You can ask her what happened, but you can also ignore her.

If you ask her what happened she will say that she lost an important ring, a present from her late husband. She wonders if she had perhaps dropped it when she was passing through the forest.

If you don’t know where Elisabeth’s ring is, you can find the details surrounding that in the thing down below.

When you find the ring, Elisabeth will still be in the northern part of the Holy Forest, looking for the ring. If you talk to her again, she will notice that you have the ring, and she will ask you if you mind returning it to her.

You can give her the ring, you can refuse, but you can also try to rape her.

If you give her the ring she will be grateful. She will say that the ring is her treasured wedding ring. She says that she must reward you somehow, so she tells you to come visit her again sometime soon. Elisabeth will disappear, and she will be back at her usual place in the Holy Forest.

Refusing to give her the ring will leave her speechless.

Trying to rape her will get you in the fight with the Soul Lady Elisabeth.

Getting Rewarded

You can come to the southern part of the Holy Forest, and Elisabeth will be sitting on her bench again.

You can talk to her and she will tell you that you have her deepest gratitude for finding the ring. She wishes to reward you for your efforts, but she can’t think of what to do, so she tells you that if there’s something you’d like of her that she’d be happy to oblige.

You can ask her to reward you with her body, which will lead to an H scene.

You can ask her to give you souls, which will have her give you 5 of each colored soul.

And you can tell her that there’s no need for a reward.

If you tell her that there’s no need, she will playfully remark that she likes how selfless you are. She says that not rewarding you would tarnish her honor though, so she wonders what to do.

She then gets the idea that it would be quite nice if she aided you in battles. Elisabeth says that she’s quite confident in her mastery over sorcery, and she’s also eager to see many charming souls – Elisabeth thinks that this is a beneficial agreement for the both of you.

And that’s how you get Elisabeth as a companion.

Hotel Poseidon

If you have Elisabeth as one of your companions and if you get her to the 100th level or higher, you will be able to take her to a room to be alone with you at Hotel Poseidon. Talk to Pinocchio at the entrance of the hotel if you want to be with her.

I like hags, but if you don’t and want to get rid of her, good luck because she will initiate a fight with you. And she’s quite angry and brutal if you try to kill her there – she’s strong.

Miscellaneous interactions with Elisabeth.

Fighting Soul Lady Elisabeth

Trying to rape Elisabeth will get you in a fight with her. She will fight you as Soul Lady Elisabeth and won’t allow you to rape her so easily. She’s a difficult enemy, but that makes her a decent companion.

Playing in the Water

If Elisabeth is your companion and if she’s on level 30 or higher, then you can trigger a scene where she “plays” in the water in the Holy Forest. To do this, you need to just go to the southern beach part of the Holy Forest while she’s on the 30th level or higher.

You will come closer to the lake, and you will notice that something is different about it. The entire lake smells like blood. And then you will see that the entire lake is also red, and Elisabeth is in it naked, bathing, covered in blood.

There are small corpses floating on the surface, and Elisabeth reassures you that those poor girls were already dead when she got there, supposedly killed by beasts. Elisabeth says that her constitution requires her to bathe in blood – she’s familiarizing her skin with blood so she can preserve her youth.

Elisabeth then draws attention to the fact that they’re supposedly immortal, so even if she kills them countless times, it doesn’t matter. So I assume from that (and from the contents of the lake) that she’s talking about the fairies you can find in the Holy Forest.

Your spine will freeze up as Elisabeth watches for a reaction from you. She reassures you while laughing that you shouldn’t worry and that she won’t make moves on you or your companions, well, at least for now.

Family Issues

If you talk to Elisabeth, she will at one point mention how she has many daughters, calling them noble and beautiful girls. But she says that she has one daughter that is ugly and foolish, and she says that she shouldn’t have birthed her.

When Red Hood comes to the Holy Forest, and if you talk to Elisabeth, she will wonder if Red Hood is that one daughter she mentioned before, but she says that it can’t be and that it must only be a resemblance.

You can tell Red Hood to approach Elisabeth, as she’s probably kinda curious about what’s up with her mother.

And if you do that, Elisabeth will soon after go into the Forest of Abandoned and turn into a demonbeast – the Torture Queen Elisabeth Bathory.

She is hostile, and you will get into a fight with her if you approach her.

Elisabeth will start muttering that everything is so dark and that she can’t see anything.

She will talk about her servants, wondering where they disappeared to, so she will shout for them to make haste and bring her the luxury she deserves.

If you take a significant portion of her health, Elisabeth will go on to talk about Red Hood and how she’s the most hateful one, while also calling her a failure and a foolish child – Elisabeth claims that she couldn’t have possibly given birth to “that”.

In the Basement

Elisabeth in the Basement won’t be too happy that she’s in the Basement. She describes it as a filthy place, calling her situation a disgrace.

Ending A

Elisabeth is a character who appears in Ending A. She will be sitting at the table, next to Elma.

When you talk to Elisabeth, she will laugh and say: “…this maid, quite delicious, isn’t she? Oh……? Of course, I was only talking about her cooking. Fufufu.”

Companion Ending

Elisabeth is one of the characters in BLACKSOULS that has a Companion Ending.

Appearances | BS2

Just like many other characters from the first game, Elisabeth also appears again, but in a very dramatic way. You will surely recognize her even though she’ll be in a different form at first.

Queen of Torture Tools

You can find Elisabeth in the Pond of Bloody Tears. To get to her, you need to go to the lowest point of this area, which includes passing through dozens of iron maidens and guillotines that will be chasing you.

Once you go all the way down, you’ll need a Master Key to unlock the door that leads to the place where you can fight Elisabeth. Entering the fog will initiate a fight with Elisabeth, who’s now in the form of Queen of Torture Tools.

This fight shouldn’t take you too much effort. Killing the Queen of Torture Tools will give you a lot of souls and the Soul of Queen of Torture Tools.

Finishing the fight will repair the broken mirror behind her that leads to the Nameless Forest.

Red Hood Reunion

If you meet Red Hood in the current cycle and if you have 0 SEN, the fight against the Queen of Torture Tools will be completely different. Before you pass the fog, you will see Red Hood, and after you go through it, you will be able to help Red Hood in the fight against the demonbeast queen.

The Queen of Torture Tools will start repeating the word kill, and Red Hood will address her as mother and say how it’s already over. The Queen of Torture Tools will then transform into the Torture Queen Elizabeth and say how this is her dream. The phrasing she uses is oddly similar to the words the final boss in Red Hood’s Woods uses – i.e., the Grandmother, who’s also oddly similar to Elizabeth in many ways.

Elizabeth will address Red Hood as “Leke” before continuing with “unsightly Red Hood”. It’s possible that “Leke” is Red Hood’s real name or at least her nickname. Elizabeth will continue saying how she will kill Grimm and Red Hood, but that won’t startle Red Hood, and the real fight will begin.

After the fight ends, Red Hood will explain to Elizabeth why everything is the way it is, and she will be quite surprised. Elizabeth will realize that all the hate she felt towards her own daughter was because of the changes Mary Sue made, but Red Hood will say how “that might not be a convenient explanation”. She will say how she did a lot of investigations and that she realized “our births, our lineages, everything about us is full of contradictions”.

Red Hood will continue to talk about how the mastermind didn’t bother with details, but Elizabeth will cut her off. She will say how she was vaguely aware of the strings attached to her soul, saying how she didn’t even try to shake them off, choosing to “rather seethe in the flames of hatred”.

Red Hood will say Elizabeth’s name, and then she will die, dropping the Elizabeth Bathory fairytale.

Hotel Poseidon Flashback

Elisabeth makes a tragic appearance during the Hotel Poseidon Flashback.

Personality

Elisabeth is quite aristocratic – she’s an older lady with an attractive demeanor and a charming personality.

You shouldn’t take her lightly even though she may be polite towards you. If you attack her, she will do anything in her power to totally smite you down and kill you. She’s a strong opponent, which reflects her dominant personality.

Design

Elisabeth is very elegant in the way she dresses. She has a lavish long black dress that exposes her breasts. It has white edges, and around her neck, she has some kind of a choker that matches her dress.

Her hair is blonde and put in twin drills. Body-wise, she’s hot and has curves where they’re needed.

She has red eyes and is often seen holding a pink umbrella.
