Sabbath is a meeting of witches that used to take place in the Forest of Sabbath, it’s mentioned for the first time in the first BLACKSOULS game. Dorothy seems to have some history with the Sabbath as she wasn’t always a witch but rather a great sorcerer, and one time she was ordered to hunt witches so she had to encounter the Sabbath too.
Dorothy killed a lot of witches and demons which provoked Sabbath, so they decided to summon an archdemon Leonard to fight Dorothy. The fight between the two of them was very long until Dorothy made peace with a good witch Glinda.
Eventually, over the years there were fewer people in the Sabbath until it was just Glinda and Leonard, but they also disappeared after one of Glinda’s summonings. A few hundred years later when Dorothy came back to the Forest of Sabbath there was only the Black Trial there, along with a lot of demonbeasts. The entire forest is ruined, Sabbath is destroyed, and Glinda is nowhere to be found.
