The Cook is an NPC in BLACKSOULS 2 you can find at the Dinner Party area, which is a place you can get to by going through the Duchess’ Mansion. He’s one of the Duchess‘ cooks and he’s there to cook food for her.
During one of Duchess’ bipolar episodes, he is ordered to get more pepper from Infinite Food as the last dish he served her wasn’t peppery enough. For some reason, he will just fly away after she orders him to do that.
You can later find him in the Infinite Food. He will be at a certain part of the Foodproductive Organs area, in some secluded room that seems to be an improvisation of a kitchen. He will then attack you in the form of a Hollow Cook, and speak of how she’s been depressed after her cat went missing.
Considering the Duchess is based on the Duchess from “Alice in Wonderland”, it’s fair to assume that her cat used to be the Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire Cat can be even seen with her in one of the pictures in the mansion.
Killing the Hollow Cook will give you an Unseen Pepper, and the Puppet’s Ring.
