Softy Erin is an NPC in the first BLACKSOULS game you can find at the Entrance into Darkness area right after killing the Lust Demon Satyr. He’s just a regular mushroom, that can talk, and he will chat a little bit about the Black Trial and the Shadowmoon Knight Oentius.
Killing him is kinda pointless, he will just drop a very small amount of souls along with a special consumable called Erin’s Remedy, mushrooms that completely restore HP and MP once you eat one of them.
This item has a funny description: Completely restores HP and MP. Unrecoverable. “That shroom…wanted to eat it. –Condemner Miranda”
He easily blends in with the area, it can be hard to notice him at first.
