Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Movie 3: Hangyaku no Monogatari is the third Madoka movie which is a continuation of the events covered in the original anime. It acts as the last movie in the Madoka movie trilogy and it’s the one not focused on recap, but rather on new stuff and events.
At the beginning of the movie, everything seems to be normal. Homura transfers to Madoka’s school and all the main Magical Girls get together as friends and form the Holy Quintet. They formed that alliance to fight Nightmares because Witches don’t exist in this world. With them is also Mami’s familiar Bebe, who isn’t a friend of the magical girls in the previous movies and anime.
Everything seems to be going well, until Homura starts realizing something’s wrong, feeling like her memories have been altered. Then she and Kyoko realize how the entire city is fake, and that it’s actually a witch’s Labyrinth.
