Tortoise and Hare is a fairytale in the first BLACKSOULS game held by Tortoise Knight Adaman and Hare Knight L-Mi’raj.
These two characters have a mutual storyline but you don’t have to finish it to get their fairytale. You can kill both of them and then interact with the chest in the Secret Garden, after that the fairytale will appear in the room before the chest.
Adaman is a knight in full green armor that can be found at the Forest of Abandoned if you go a little bit further to the north, and L-Mi’raj is a knight in full purple armor that can be found in the Dungeon area at Fort Ivern.
The fairytale is most likely based on “The Tortoise and the Hare”, an Aesop’s fable.
The Storyline
The storyline starts once you talk to one of these knights. They don’t really like each other and will eventually fight to the death, but you should follow their relationship to get the Tortoise and Hare fairytale in the end.
Hare Knight L-Mi’raj can be found in a locked cell in a Dungeon at Fort Ivern.
Tortoise Knight Adaman can be found in the Forest of Abandoned, a little up to the north.
Those are the first locations where you’ll be able to find them.
The next location you should head to is Jacob’s Disused Mine. Explore the area a little bit under you reach this exact place where you can see Adaman who doesn’t want to go further into the area left to him because he thinks it’s dangerous.
The area he leads you to isn’t particularly safe, so who knows what even his motives were?
After that, head to Graveyard Town Elixir, go to the part of that area where the Cathedral is, and head to the left where the Great Wilhem Bridge is, in front of that area, you will see L-Mi’raj.
Go ahead talk to him and then pass the bridge, from the conversation with him you can conclude they’re fighting over some kind of treasure, so go to that last location where they’ll be.
You will have to fight Drake Helkaiser on the bridge, again, if you beat him at Fort Ivern, so prepare for that as well.
And then reach the Secret Garden and intervene in their fight.
Go further into the area and open the chest and fight the Mimic, and after that go back to where they fought, and collect the fairytale lying on the ground.
