Drake Helkaiser is an enemy in BLACKSOULS. He’s one of the first enemies you will encounter in the first game. Drake Helkaiser appears in the prologue of the first game and then later on again at the same spot at Fort Ivern where you saw him last time.

Drake Helkaiser appears multiple times in the first BLACKSOULS game.
Meeting Drake Helkaiser
Drake Helkaiser is a boss who appears in the prologue of the game. He approaches you and Jeanne out of nowhere at Fort Ivern and he burns her to death. After that you will get into a direct fight with him – you can defeat him if you avoid his attacks on time.
It takes a bit of time to kill him, but once you do you’ll get 8000 souls and the Drake Sword which are important for a good start.
Rotting Drake Helkaiser
Rotting Drake Helkaiser is the second version of Drake Helkaiser, which you meet after defeating the original Drake Helkaiser – you can find him at the Great Wilhelm Bridge.
He’s not hard to defeat, although he has plenty of health.
Undead Drake Helkaiser
Undead Drake Helkaiser is the third version of Drake Helkaiser that can be found at Tainted Bog, not too far from the entrance part of the area.
He may have plenty of health, but he’s already quite ravaged and is easy to defeat. This is the last time you will be seeing him in the game.

Drake Helkaiser also appears in the second game, just like many other characters from BS1. Although, he’s dead.
Nameless Forest
A little bit down in the Nameless Forest, there’ll be a giant skeleton of a dragon. The skeleton seems to be quite old as even flowers started growing on it, and you can see a shining sword embedded into his tail.
You will get the Drake Sword, along with the chance to say hi to Drake Helkaiser.
Chaos Dungeon
Drake Helkaiser appears in the Chaos Dungeon during Ashes Reignited. He can appear in the Boss Room in regular Chaos Dungeon levels once you defeat the Old King.
He has multiple phases you have to go through first, and at the end, he will fight you as Ghost Drake Helkaiser.

Personality
If Drake Helkaiser was a girl he would probably be a tsundere. He waits for you at various places in the first game to fight you over and over again even if he loses. Every time he comes back he’s weaker and weaker, but his fighting spirit still yields and he doesn’t stop fighting until he dies.
