Ever fantasized about a crazy Yandere girl loving you? Mirai Nikki will show you the beauty of having a Yandere girlfriend while participating in a deadly kill-or-be-killed Survival Game! This anime popularized the Yandere personality quite a lot through Gasai Yuno and her extreme devotion towards the man (boy) of her dreams – Amano Yukiteru.
The Survival Game is quite simple. There are 12 participants and each participant has a specific diary that allows them to foresee certain situations, events, or other important things.
For example, Yukiteru’s diary allows him to see the future of his surroundings in detail but it doesn’t tell him anything that will happen to him. While Uryuu Minene’s diary makes her able to see the best ways to escape dangerous situations. The diaries are made on the basis of the holder’s personality and their needs.
The goal of the Survival Game is to be the last man standing, and by doing that you’ll inherit the throne of time and become God, replacing Deus Ex Machina.
It’s a fun and simple concept, that’s very fun to watch unravel with its various twists and its interesting personalities where each has their own motives for succeeding the throne. The anime itself is a classic and something you should watch as it would be too bad to miss out on.
